Booth, Ince & Knowles are proud to announce that Private Client Solicitor, Lewis Thompson, has joined their professional team at their Hyde practice. Booth, Ince & Knowles, established in Tameside since 1893, is part of the Sleigh, Son & Booth Solicitors family which has additional branches in Denton and Droylsden.
Joining the firm as Associate Solicitor, Lewis specialises in all areas of Private Client Law including Probate, Wills & Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Elderly Persons Affairs and Court of Protection matters. Winner of Legal Professional of The Year at The Manchester Young Talent Awards 2019 and shortlisted as Trainee Solicitor of the Year at The Manchester Legal Awards 2017 Lewis has already been recognised for his hard work, commitment and passion within his field. Joining Booth, Ince & Knowles Lewis enhances the firm’s already successful Private Client Department. Lewis said “I joined Booth, Ince & Knowles as I was impressed by the firm and its approach with clients. The business is long-established and I admire its traditional yet modern approach to law. I take a lot of pride assisting my clients and in particular assisting elderly and vulnerable clients and those requiring bespoke advice on Wills, Probate and estate planning matters. I believe Booth, Ince & Knowles is of this same philosophy.”
Speaking about the role of a Private Client Solicitor Lewis commented “As a solicitor, you are in a trusted position to provide clients with information on important matters such as their family, their health, welfare, property, money and assets. These are sensitive areas and it is paramount that legal advice is presented in a way that it can be easily understood and that any concerns are laid to rest . I enjoy leaving clients with that peace of mind knowing that their affairs have been dealt with in a professional but “no nonsense” manner. Wills are a good example; it’s a topic that can be hard for people to discuss. I enjoy the opportunity to offer clients straightforward, easy to understand advice on a matter that may have otherwise been thought of as quite daunting to deal with.”
Speaking about Booth, Ince & Knowles’ ‘modern’ approach, Lewis added “We are aware that some clients might currently find it difficult to attend the office. Booth, Ince & Knowles is equipped to provide clients with accessible ways to speak with us including telephone, email and video link. Where safe to do so, we offer house visits to clients unable to leave their home. This is, of course, important to ensure client’s needs are met.”
