Apprentices and their employers across the borough will be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week from Monday 8th February to Sunday 14th February.
Tameside College is planning a number of digital and online activities for employers and school leavers about the options available to them. A social media campaign will promote different daily themes to: celebrate the success of apprentices, provide information to employers, and showcase the opportunities at Tameside College for school leavers.
The college’s extremely popular virtual open event will include new content to promote Apprenticeships as well as a wide range of study programmes. School leavers are encouraged to apply online whilst employers are asked to contact the college’s apprenticeship team about how to recruit apprentices.
David Scanlan, head of marketing, school liaison and admissions, said: ‘National Apprenticeship Week is a great way of raising awareness for school leavers and employers. It is the perfect time of year for school leavers to take action about their future. The week of celebration is also designed for employers to take the right steps, with the college’s support, to provide exciting career opportunities through apprenticeships’.
