Aries UK has launched an online version of the Safe-Space peer support group it launched over a year ago with the Anthony Seddon fund. The Digital Safe-Space runs every Wednesday from 5pm-7pm via Zoom and is a safe way for members to get together each week.
Aries UK is dedicated to the supporting the LGBT+ community in Tameside working in partnership with Tameside Pride and charities in Tameside to help ensure the offer supports the inclusion of the LGBT+ community as well as offering direct services.
Aries UK was launched in October 2019 and is named after a well-loved Manchester performer Madame Aries who passed away in 2018 and had worked in Tameside for over 10 years towards the end of her life.
Aries UK is having to revamp it’s fundraising aims due to COVID-19 after the cancellation of all of it’s fundraising events this year and will be announcing it’s new schedule of events shortly including an online drag show on the 1st of November.
