When Katrina Dempster, Scheme Manager of Pembroke Court sheltered housing in Romiley was off having surgery the tenants wanted to do something to mark their appreciation of her kindness to them. So rather than accept a gift from them, the residents raised £100 to donate to the good causes supported by the Tameside Husky Paws and Friends Facebook group. Stuart Hibbert popped along to accept the donation together with Kobe and Jacob who proved popular with the residents.  The donation was presented to the registered charity Howls For Help, that aims to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted and stray sled dogs and sled dog cross breeds.
