Students from Tameside College set up on Ashton Market Ground on December 10th & 11th all for a good cause. Organised by the Business students and supported by the Bakery department too they set up a covid safe Christmas Market! This year they were raising money for the food poverty charity FairShare now more than ever is a worthwhile cause. FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 17 independent organisations. They take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to almost 11,000 frontline charities and community groups. The food they redistribute is nutritious, in-date and good to eat. It reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes.
